Have baby will travel! Having a baby doesn’t mean that you have to stay at home for years and not enjoy family holidays. However, it does pay to be well organised when you travel and to make sure you take all the necessary items that you need to meet your baby’s needs and for you all to feel comfortable and happy.
Many hotels are happy to provide highchairs and cots (sometimes with an extra fee) for your stay, and it is a personal choice whether this will meet your needs or if you would prefer to take your own. Check with your hotel before you leave home so you know what to expect and to ensure your needs are met. If you prefer to make your own arrangements, a light and easy to transport travel cot is a must. Not just handy for holidays, but sleepovers at Grandma’s too when you have a well-earned rest!
The two travel cots shown are both from Samsonite. The pop-up Bubble cot is suitable from birth to approximately 18 months. It is about a third of the weight of a conventional travel cot, which is great news if you are taking it abroad and have weight restrictions on your luggage. Also convenient is the in-built mosquito net to protect your baby from those insect nasties. The smaller basinette is suitable for babies up to the age of about 6 months or when they can sit up un-aided.
